Cricket News: Former Indian cricket team veteran cricketer VVS Laxman has said that India’s young players Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav have capitalized on the opportunities given to them very well.
Both these players are entitled to join the 15-member team of the Indian team for the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in India.
His international career got off to a great start in the recently concluded T20 series against 22-year-old Ishan Kishan and 30-year-old Suryakumar Yadav of England.
Ishan Kishan played 56 innings of 32 balls while making his debut in the second T20 match. So the same Suryakumar Yadav scored 57 runs in 31 balls and 32 runs on 17 balls respectively in the fourth and fifth matches of the series.
In the Star Sports program Cricket Connected, VVS Laxman said that the selection of players in the team has become a much more difficult question.
Because we saw that in the T20 series against England, many young players took advantage of the opportunity given to them.
Both Ishaan and then Suryakumar Yadav, both of these players will join the 16-member team of India.
It is a tough tough option but I think Ishaan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav deserve a place in this team.
After recovering from an injury with these youngsters, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who bowled quite brilliantly, also performed brilliantly in the series.
Former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar shared his thoughts on Bhubaneswar saying that Bhubaneswar has confirmed his place in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup.
Sanjay Bangar said that Bhubaneswar is fully fit and is also present in superb form. However, there is still a long time to go for the T20 World Cup and many players will be in contention to make a place in India by playing great cricket in the upcoming IPL season.
The players who are excluded from that selection are going to have a much bigger level than the World Cup selection.
