Virat Kohli made a big announcement regarding IPL: Will leave the captaincy of the RCB team after this season of IPL.
The regular captains of the Indian cricket team are constantly taking big decisions to reduce their workload significantly. Recently, he will leave the captaincy of Team India’s T20 for the Indian T20 World Cup.
But now with this, he has taken another big decision. He has also decided to quit the captaincy from IPL late on Sunday night. RCB’s current captain Virat Kohli has decided to step down from IPL captaincy in RCB’s tweet.
This is the second major decision taken by Virat Kohli within just a week. In a press release issued by Royal Challengers, Virat Kohli said that this journey of mine to lead a team of more talented players for RCB has been very inspiring and wonderful.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the RCB management, coach, support staff, players, and the entire RCB family on this wonderful occasion. Virat Kohli has made tremendous progress as a team over the years.

During this, Virat Kohli said that this decision was not very easy for me but it is a great decision taken in the hit of our team. The RCB family will always be very close to my heart and we would like to try our best to achieve the best in the future as well.
I have said many times before that I will be associated with the RCB team till I retire from cricket. Let us tell you that Virat Kohli, who is currently the best captain for the Indian cricket team, took the responsibility of captaincy of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the year 2013 in the history of the Indian Premier League.
Since then, Virat Kohli has been the captain of the RCB team for the last 8 years. However, despite this, RCB’s team has not been able to win a single IPL title so far.
So now in such a situation, Virat Kohli has decided that after this season he will leave the captaincy of the RCB team and will continue to make excellent contributions to RCB as a batsman.
