IPL 2021: Sanju Samson set a new record for his captaincy: became the first captain to do so

IPL 2021: In the history of the Indian Premier League, the 14th season of 2021, wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson, who captained for the first time, scored a century while playing a blazing innings.

The new Rajasthan Royals captain has scored his first IPL century during his captaincy while batting against the KXIP.

In the same year in 2017, he scored a century against Rising Pune Supergiant. After that, he played 102 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the year 2019.

Whereas he now scored his third century against Sanju Samson in the year 2021. The highest century in the history of IPL cricket is recorded in the name of dangerous batsman Chris Gayle of KXIP.

He has played a total of 6 century innings in the history of the Indian Premier League. After this, Virat Kohli has 5 and Sean Watson, David Warner has played 4 centuries.

In the first innings of this IPL 2021 match, KXIP captain Lokesh Rahul also played a brilliant knock of 91 runs in 50 balls.

He came very close to scoring a century but due to the excellent catch of Rahul Tewatia, he missed his century. Lokesh Rahul managed to hit 7 fours and 5 sixes during this innings.
