Cricket News: Former England captain Michael Vaughan has also become a fan of India’s young wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant.
Michael Vaughan likes Rishabh Pant’s way of batting without fear. Michael Vaughan said that whenever Rishabh Pant comes to bat on the field, there is no pressure on him at that time.
Michael Vaughan said that if I were to tell honestly, I think Rishabh Pant is crazy. He plays cricket in the most fearless way as if he is playing cricket in the park.
He bats in the same manner as he has been doing continuously for many years. Then whether it is for the under-11, under-15, and under-19 or Indian team, it does not matter to them and it is just a game for them.
His attitude towards cricket seems very new and it is very difficult to have such thinking and mentality.
Speaking to Cricbuzz, the former England captain further said that the only advice I would give to young players who saw Rishabh Pant was to copy their mindset rather than technique.
His technique is very special, in the last few months, Rishabh Pant has made his identity even stronger during his batting. There is always a discussion about him that because of his aggressive batting, he throws his wicket and goes away.
But in the last few months, his game has improved a lot, now he always keeps trying to play big innings. Young Pant batted flawlessly in the third ODI against England.
During that time he could not make his century, but the way he played with Hardik Pandya in the middle order was fantastic.
Because of those two players, the Indian team proved successful in crossing the 300-run mark. In that match, Rishabh Pant faced a brilliant innings of 78 runs, facing 62 balls.
During his innings, Pant also hit 5 fours and 4 skyscraper sixes. He formed a forceful partnership of 99 runs with Hardik Pandya.
It was also the best score of Rishabh Pant’s ODI career. In the same ODI against England, he also played a quick innings of 77 runs on 40 balls. Although India lost that match, but the way he batted during that time everybody was impressed.
