𝕁𝕚𝕠𝕋𝕧𝕧𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕖 – DC captain Shreyas Iyer is happy even after losing the final match. The final match of the 1st Season of the Indian Premier League 2020 was played on 10 November between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians.
And in this match, the dream of winning the title of Delhi Capitals team was broken. Because the Mumbai Indians team defeated the Delhi Capitals team in the final match and captured the fifth cross title.
The same Delhi team reached the final for the first time after 12 years of waiting but Mumbai defeated them by 5 wickets.
In this final match played at the International Cricket Stadium in Dubai, the team of Delhi Capitals won the toss and batted first, and scored 156 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer scored half-centuries for Delhi in this match. Chasing the same target, the Mumbai Indians team achieved this target at a loss of 5 wickets in 18.4 overs.
After this match ended, Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer said that IPL always surprises you. And it is probably one of the most difficult leagues in the world.
He further said that I am very happy to play in this league, it was a great journey for me and my team. I am proud of all my players.
It is not an easy task to reach the final, it is a good achievement for us. He said but if we had won the IPL title then it would have been even better and we would have been one step ahead.
Shreyas Iyer further said that we will now come back strongly next year. We will come back strongly and try to win the trophy.
